Biografia

Holds a Bachelor Degree in History and a postgraduate Diploma in Communication Consultancy from Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, where he is Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences. Obtained his Ph.D. in 2007 from the Faculty of Information Sciences of Complutense University of Madrid, with the thesis "An Instrument of Consensus in the Estado Novo (Salazar´s Regime): Panorama, revista portuguesa de arte e turismo (1941-1949)" (Panorama, Portuguese magazine of art and tourism, 1941-1949). He has published on topics about political and cultural propaganda during Salazar´s regime. He has participated in colloquia, conferences and other activities organized by the New University of Lisbon, the University of Extremadura, the Institute of Social Sciences, the Estoril Higher School of Hotel Management and Tourism, the Geography Society, IGESPAR, the National Library, Torre do Tombo National Archive, Casa Veva de Lima Association, the Portuguese Communications Foundation, Rádio Renascença, and RTP2. Member of the Consultancy Group of the António Quadros Foundation.
