Biografia
PhD in Fine Arts(Communication Design, from the Faculty of Fine Arts – University of Lisbon, has a Postgraduate Degree in Design and Graphic Production/Intermedia, from Facultat de Belles Arts - Universitat de Barcelona, and a degree in Social Communication and Multimedia Education, from the Polytechnic University of Leiria. Graphic designer since 2005, Leonel Brites has been working in different fields of communication design, such as branding, editorial design and design for digital and multimedia environments. He is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Education and Social Sciences, of the Polytechnic University of Leiria, and the current coordinator of CTeSP in Digital Communication. At the same institution, he is part of the Scientific-Pedagogical Committees of the CTeSP in Digital Music and the Master's in Communication and Media. He has been an integrated researcher at CEIS20 since 2016, and is currently the coordinator of GICJEP – Research Group on Communication, Journalism and Public Space. He is also a collaborating researcher at the Typographic Research Center at ID + (Institute for Research in Design, Media and Culture). His research interests include the fields of Visual Communication, Graphic Production, Digital Storytelling, New Technologies, Design Methodologies and Media Literacy.
