Activities
The DemForYou Jean Monnet module includes a variety of planned activities:
Class modules include syllabus and planned lessons for two aspects of study and learning: politics and EU policies.
They are taught in both Portuguese and English.
The target public is the students of the University of Coimbra.
When: 2024-2027 school-years.
Two webinars and one training course:
Target group: non-academic public (does not exclude academics), politicians, civil servants, institutional agents, civil organizations, pre-university teachers).
- Webinars:
1. Migration and Asylum in the EU - between politics, governance and fundamental rights;
2. Economic and social cohesion in the EU: between demand and supply.
- Training course: "The EU: who decides and how do citizens participate?”

Examining democracy in EU politics and policies, focusing on the EU political system and various policies.
Target group: national and international higher education students.
When: 2026-2027 (the exact date will be announced in due course).
Five policy briefs – which will provide scientifically based information to diagnose the main challenges of certain policies, offering decision support.
Themes: Economic and Monetary Union; Asylum Policy; Cohesion Policy; Social Policy; Neighbourhood Policy.
Target group: students, institutional agents, policymakers, civil society organisations, public servants.

A book that will compile research on politics and policies in the European Union, exploring the connections with democracy and encompassing the diverse areas of expertise of the DemForYou Module team.
The book will feature scientific articles and thematic chapters focused on these topics.
