Public presentation of the report A Part for the Whole. Report of the Survey "Ecological and Sustainable Practices in the Performing Arts in Portugal
The Modes of Production team will present in Guimarães next Saturday, February 1st, the results of the study A Part for the Whole: Report on the Survey "Ecological and Sustainable Practices in the Performing Arts in Portugal". This presentation will take place as part of the introduction to the Support Desk for Creation of the Municipality of Guimarães.
The Balcão de Apoio à Criação (BAC) emerges as an initiative by the Municipality of Guimarães to support, facilitate, and empower cultural creators in the municipality. Aimed at artists, cultural associations, and other professionals in the sector, the service is designed to be a reference point for those seeking guidance and resources to develop artistic and cultural projects.
The report to be presented by the team is the result of research carried out within the scope of the FCT GREENARTS project (2022.01609.PTDC), which follows efforts to structure and deepen research into the intersections between production and creation regimes, as well as the discursive and practical transformations in artistic production in the face of growing demands for social and environmental sustainability. The ongoing research places artistic and cultural production at the heart of key social debates, specifically reflecting on the integration of artistic production and mediation within the ecological imperative and the multimodal challenges raised by the global environmental crisis.
