Alberto Filipe Soares Pimentel

Alberto Filipe Soares Pimentel holds a degree in History with a minor in European Studies from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra (FLUC). He is currently attending a Master’s Degree in the Teaching of History in the 3rd Cycle of Basic and Secondary Education at the same faculty. He volunteered at an archaeological excavation in the Roman villa of S. Simão. In 2021 he collaborated in the project "Historical Commission - FLUC", which aims at organising conferences on topics related to historiography.

Ana Marta Pinheiro Perdigão

Ana Marta Pinheiro Perdigão was born in 2001 in Faro. She graduated in History from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra (FLUC) in 2022. In 2017 she joined a volunteering project with children, organised by the Social and Community Centre of Vale Silves. In 2018 and 2019 she participated in two exchange programmes: “Summer Camps”, of the Rotary Club of Almancil, which allowed her to contact with different cultures. The first was in Belgium and the second in Denmark. She is currently studying for the Master’s degree in the Teaching of History in the 3rd Cycle of Basic and Secondary Education at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra (FLUC).

Bernardo Agostinho

Bernardo Agostinho is an undergraduate student in History with a minor in Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra (FLUC). He graduated in Voiceover and Production at the Coimbra University Radio (RUC) and since 2018 has coordinated and participated in radio projects as a speaker. He joined the Theatre Initiation Circle of the Academy of Coimbra as an associative leader and was part of the team of the Gil Vicente Academic Theatre (TAGV) as a member of the production team. His current research work focuses on the analysis of Portuguese history textbooks of the 20th century.

Diogo Silva

Diogo Silva is a student of the Master’s in the Teaching of History in the 3rd cycle of basic and secondary education at the University of Coimbra. He holds a degree in History and Archaeology, specialising in History, from the University of Évora. In 2022 he was awarded a research initiation scholarship - IHC - (FCT, Verão com Ciência) within the framework of the PHONLAB project "Phonetics Laboratory: Coimbra - Harvard. Rethinking 20th-century scientific centres and peripheries". He has worked as a volunteer at the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation, the Cadaval Palace, the Caritas Parish of Santa Maria de Viseu, and the City Halls of Évora and Viseu.

João de Sousa

João de Sousa has a master in Contemporary History from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra (FLUC). He graduated at the same institution in History, with a minor in European Studies. He obtained his master’s degree in 2022, after having presented the dissertation entitled The political opposition to the New State Regime in the Archipelago of Madeira. The electoral periods and the action of the newspaper ‘Comércio do Funchal’ (1945-1974). In the same year, he was speaker at the II Meeting of Young Researchers in Humanities and Social Sciences, organized at FLUC, and presented a paper at the symposium Castelo do Neiva talking about History.

Luís Pereira

Luís Pereira began his university studies in September 2018, and graduated in History in June 2021, at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra (FLUC). In the same year, he enrolled in the Master’s in the Teaching of History in the 3rd Cycle of Basic and Secondary Education at FLUC. Throughout his academic career, he has sought to attend and participate in various scientific events related to his field of study.

Nuno Miranda

Nuno Miranda was born in 1998 in the Portuguese city of Santarém. He thought that his academic and professional career would be in the field area of engineering and technology, so in 2016 he enrolled in the Integrated Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra. It took him a while to realise that his professional fulfilment was not in engineering, but in an old passion of his: History. In 2021 he began his Undergraduate Degree in History at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra, where he continues to dedicate himself to doing what he really loves. Throughout his career, he has been involved in several activities related to academic associations, such as student groups and national student meetings. He was involved in the organisation of the 4th Conference of the International Network for the Theory of History, held in Mexico in 2022. His main research interests are Contemporary Political and Economic History and, more recently, the History of Education.

Cláudia Morais

Cláudia Morais has a degree and a Master in Artistic Studies (Theatre, Film and Music, with a specialty in Cinema) from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra and has been developing regular activity in the areas of communication, production, photography and cultural mediation. She began her collaboration with the University of Coimbra through an internship at the Science Museum, where she developed educational activities that linked art and science, and then worked at Teatro Académico de Gil Vicente (TAGV), between 2015 and 2022, in the aforementioned areas. She is currently responsible for the Communication Office at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies (CEIS20) of the University of Coimbra.
