Alexandre Franco de Sá was born in Lisbon in 1972. Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra (FLUC), where he directs the Undergraduate degree in Philosophy and the Master’s Degree in the Teaching of Philosophy. He is also Coordinator of the Teacher Training Board. In addition to several national and international publications in journals and philosophical books, he is the author of the following books: Metamorphosis of Power (Coimbra, 2004; Rio de Janeiro, 2012), The Power by Power (Lisbon, 2009), Power, Law, and Order: essays on Carl Schmitt (Rio de Janeiro, 2012) and Ideas without Centre: left and right in contemporary populism (Lisbon, 2021).

Ana Isabel Ribeiro is an Assistant Professor at the Department of History, European Studies, Archaeology and Arts (DHEEAA) of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra (FLUC) and a researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies (CEIS20). Her research focuses on the Modern History of Portugal, Didactics of History, and Teacher Training. She has also developed relevant activities in the field of Digital Humanities, namely in the use of relational databases applied to History and the analysis of social networks. She currently holds the positions of Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in the History of Teaching in the 3rd Cycle of Basic and Secondary Education and Deputy Director of FLUC (Teaching and Academic Affairs).

António Gomes Ferreira holds a PhD in Education Sciences from the University of Coimbra and is a Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, where he has held various positions, including Director and Deputy Director of the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, Chair of the Pedagogical Board, Coordinator of various courses, including the PhD in Education Sciences at the University of Coimbra. He has been part of several national and international research projects and committees of several Portuguese and foreign journals in the field of education, as well as a member of several national and international scientific event committees, and has been invited to speak at several conferences in Portugal and abroad.

Clara Isabel Serrano holds a PhD in Contemporary History and International Comparative Studies from the University of Coimbra (UC). She is currently a member of the Scientific Board of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of the University of Coimbra (CEIS20) and an invited Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra (FLUC). Her main areas of research include the History of Culture and the Idea of Europe, as well as the Portuguese and European history of the 19th and 20th centuries. She has participated in national and international conferences and has been a member of several scientific meeting committees. She is the author of several articles published in Portugal and abroad.

Luís Mota holds a PhD in History of Culture from the University of Coimbra. He is Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, in the School of Education and a researcher at the Group for Educational Policies and Organisations and Educational Dynamics (GRUPOEDE), at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of the University of Coimbra. He is currently a member of the Board of the History of Education Association of Portugal (HISTEDUP).

Sérgio Neto is a research fellow at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of the University of Coimbra (CEIS20/UC) and an invited assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the same university. He has dedicated himself to studying colonialism from a comparative perspective and to analysing textbooks. He has also studied the First World War, especially from the point of view of memory and literature (theatre and poetry). He is the author of several books, articles, and chapters, and has participated in conferences in Portugal and abroad. He regularly organises dissemination sessions with schools and civil society.
