BootCamp Entrepreneurship Jovem, an event attended by more than 170 students!

The Young Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, which took place on November 30th, at the Centro Cultural Gonçalves Sapinho, in Benedita, was a real success! This event, aimed at high school students, had more than 170 students willing to transform their ideas into concrete businesses, thus providing an enriching journey, full of resources, privileged information and forms of support to guide young entrepreneurs.

The morning began with an opening session, led by Gabriela Fernandes, Pro-Rector of the University of CoimbraUniversity of Coimbra, who shared her vision on the importance of entrepreneurship in education. The support of the Municipality of Alcobaça, through Mr. President, Hermínio Rodrigues, and the participation of Nuno Rosa, Pedagogical Director of the Externato Cooperativo da Benedita, demonstrated the local community's commitment to the development of students' ideas.

Theoretical knowledge about entrepreneurship was also reflected in the lecture by Pedro Torres, Professor at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Coimbra, who clarified what entrepreneurship is and how you can create a business nowadays.

Still in the morning, Juliana Viegas, from Fundação da Juventude, shared valuable insights about the National Competition for Young Entrepreneurs, while Alexandre Almeida, from Instituto Pedro Nunes, brought different perspectives on Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

In the afternoon, the presentations were more practical and interactive. The Youth Association, A4, led an interactive Entrepreneur's Gym session, providing students with hands-on experience to apply their newly acquired knowledge. Highlighting the importance of creative thinking, Jorge Figueira, from Pedagogical Innovation at the University of Coimbra, led an engaging session on Design Thinking.

The event culminated in the closing, reflecting not only the end of a day full of learning, but the beginning of an exciting journey for the students, now with the tools and knowledge necessary to transform their ideas into successful businesses.
