This event aims to commemorate the centenary of the birth of the writer by creating a space to re-read, interpret, and study the works of Sophia, promoting knowledge and updates about Sophia de Mello Breyner. It seeks to deepen the understanding and interpretation of the writer’s work, while also highlighting the different facets of her imagery, both in her narrative and poetic works.
The colloquium “Listening to Sophia” has the main goal of promoting Sophia's work among teachers. To meet this objective, it has been accredited for training by the CCPFC — Scientific and Pedagogical Council for Continuing Education, through FLUC.
