# New Postgraduate Program on Journalistic Investigative Collaborations

The University of Coimbra is offering a postgraduate program on Journalistic Investigative Collaborations.

Name: Postgraduate Program on Journalistic Investigative Collaborations - I2C (standing for Investigative Collaborations Clinic)

Location: FLUC

Start Date: September 2024 (Fridays)

For the first Semester classes will take place face to face on Fridays, between 9.30 to 17.30 (starting on the 27 of September ending on the 16 of December);

For the second Semester tutorship sessions will happen in a hybrid form or online, depending on the agreement with students, also on Fridays (starting 5th of February ending 23 of May).

The more the media industry is engaged in collaborative investigative work, the more visible is the lack of a new generation of journalists specialized in this field.

Therefore UC decided to offer a year-long class on investigative collaborations in journalism. In a Lab-like environment, the course is following a hands-on approach, including a series of workshops, guest trainers and a practical project. The program is co-designed together with UC Clara Santos and led by Stefan Candea who has pioneered work in this emerging field, at the intersection of newsrooms and networks that publish collaborative investigations.

If you are interested in receiving more details and an alert about the registration period for this class, please send an email to IC3@uc.pt

Please note:

1. Foreign students with Portuguese nif and address, must apply at the PT version!

2. Foreign students without Portuguese nif or address must contact the coordination to obtain more details!
