Presentation

Objectives of the course:
Gain a thorough understanding (both theoretical as well as practical) of Entrepreneurship.

Program - which is subject to potential last minute changes:

Day 1: Thursday afternoon class, an introduction to the course

Day 2: First theory class and guest lecture, potential visit to Gliding Barnicles

Day 3 (Saturday): get to know the city of Fga. da Foz

Day 4: free day

Day 5: Second theory class, free afternoon

Day 6: Third theory class, company visit

Day 7: Fourth theory class

Day 8 Fifth theory class and company visit

Day 9: Sixth theory class and presenting of final case

Day 10: Saturday group activity

Day 11: check-out and closing

  their company;

- The Entrepreneurial Lifestyle → Sales, Marketing, Finance/administration,
   legal (basic), strategic planning, internationalisation, start-up methodologies
- A crash course to Digital Nomadism
  Learn about the sector of Tourism
  Get an understanding of Water Sports and which opportunities are present within
  this niche
  Structure for Entrepreneurs (this is a true passion of mine, I believe it adds to this
  course but would also understand if you find it irrelevant → so: to be discussed)
-Topics covered: routines, goal setting, time management, to-do list.

Skills to develop

Student skills by the end of the course:
Students have gained a solid understanding of the challenges entrepreneurs are
facing, focusing on the early stages of starting a company;
Students will be able to identify business opportunities;
Students have gained a proper understanding of all decisions in regard to money,
product and the legal aspects of running an (international) company;
Students are being introduced to the industry of travel and tourism, as well as watersports

Access conditions

Level of English: B1 minimum
Entrepreneurship: any experience is a plus (not required).

COURSE PRICE TO BE borne by the TRAINEE: free of charge in the current edition

(The price of the course is €75 and will be supported by 100% of the PRR -Living the Future Academy Project - in the form of a scholarship, in line with the type of scholarships provided for in the Regulation for the Attribution of Incentives for the Training of Young People and Adults within the Living the Future Academy Project). Withdrawal, after completing the registration, implies the payment of the entire course by the trainee.

Under Regulation No 1126/2022 for the Attribution of Incentives for the Training of Young People and Adults, published in the DR of November 21, 2022:
  • Any financial benefits that may be granted under the PRR are conditional on candidates holding a Portuguese NIF and residing in Portugal, at the time of the course;
  • Trainees who wish to repeat training for which they have not been approved and for which they have already benefited from a scholarship are not eligible for a scholarship;
  • Trainees who register in a course or initiative financed by PRR-LFA (Investments RE-C06.i03.03 – Adult Incentive and RE-C06.i04.01 – Impulso Jovens STEAM, opened by Notice 01/PRR/2021), accept that they were aware of the total/partial discount on the price defined for the course, initiative and/or attendance expenses and authorize that it be granted if its attribution is decided under the regulations in force.

Methodology (organization and functioning of the course)

This training action will be organised in the form of a training course, with theoretical sessions, conference mode, complemented with practical application.
The theoretical component is organized in plenary conferences followed by debate.
The theoretical-practical component is organized in field work, with visits and interactions with training resources (documents) that can be used in a school context.
