International Symposium on Dying Places

The International Symposium on Dying Places will take place on 11–12 March 2026 in Brussels, at the University Foundation, bringing together leading international experts to discuss the challenges, policies, and practices related to places of dying and end-of-life care.

The symposium will feature world-leading academics and representatives from key policy-making bodies such as the European Commission, the WHO, and the OECD, alongside international patient and informal carer organisations, including IAPO and Eurocarers. This high-level event aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and international collaboration on an issue of growing societal and policy relevance.
