The EOLinPLACE Project Team and the EAPC Public Health & Palliative Care Reference Group have come together for a joint event pre-19th World Congress of the EAPC (European Association for Palliative Care), in Helsinki in 2025.
The places where people are cared for and die are changing. Respecting the preferences of patients and families is very important.
The EOLinPLACE project team is deepening its understanding of the diversity of end-of-life places that are prefered by patients and families and the places where they actually die and are cared for.
The EAPC Public Health and Palliative Care Reference Group advocates a public health approach to improving end-of-life care in all settings.
The EOLinPACE project is carrying out a global reform of the way places of death are categorised.
This is an important development for the field of palliative care.
