Workshop location

The Department of Civil Engineering is located at the University of Coimbra's Pole II, on the right bank of the River Mondego, in the Pinhal de Marrocos area. It houses part of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra, namely the departments of Civil Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering.

From Lisbon - there are frequent train and bus connections on a journey that takes approximately 120 minutes.

From Porto - there are frequent train and bus connections on a journey that takes approximately 60 minutes.

Within the city of Coimbra, the Coimbra Urban Transport Network (SMTUC) has three bus lines serving Polo II:

- Line 34 – Universidade - Pólo II da Universidade, with regular services during the day (between 7am and 8pm).

- Line 38 – Planalto S. Clara (Forum) - Pólo II da Universidade, with regular services during the day (between 7am and 8pm).

- Line 24T – Palácio da Justiça - Quinta da Nora, with a more regular frequency during the day (between 7am and 8pm).
