It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Professor, colleague, and friend Vítor Murtinho. There are no words that can ease what we are feeling at this moment. More than 36 years were devoted wholeheartedly and selflessly to Architecture at the University of Coimbra, where he served as our Director, Deputy Director of the Faculty of Science and Technology, and Vice-Rector. The memories he leaves behind will last in each of our lives, and his academic, scientific, and university management career serves as a reference for us, the Department of Architecture, and the University of Coimbra.

The wake will take place today, January 10th, between 4:30 pm and 9:00 pm, at the São Miguel Chapel at the University of Coimbra. The funeral service will be held tomorrow at 2:30 pm, with the São Miguel Chapel opening at 9:00 am. Following the Mass, the funeral procession will proceed to Ansião.
