Biografia

António Monteiro (Trancoso, 1983) is an invited assistant in the Department of Architecture at FCTUC. In 2020, he completed the Advanced Specialization Course in Architecture as part of the PhD in Architecture at FCTUC. He holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from Vasco da Gama University (2008). He is currently developing his doctoral thesis titled "Virtual Reconstitutions of Architectural Heritage: From Studium Generale Building to the General Library of the University of Coimbra", with topics including Architectural Heritage, Digital Representation, Virtual Reality, Experiences of a Place, and the University of Coimbra, based on a case study. He regularly collaborates with professionals and organizations in the fields of Architecture, Drawing, and Design. He was a researcher at the Santa Cruz Project 1834, and a professor in the Department of Architecture and Landscape at Vasco da Gama University School in Coimbra. He also taught 3D Animation in the Art and Design course at IPC Escola Superior de Educação. In 2012, he co-founded SketchCrawlCoimbra and was an active member of Salão 40 – Desenho do Corpo Humano. In his spare time, he dedicates himself to digital art, urban and alternative themes, and develops proposals for exhibitions and artistic activities.
