Biografia
Catarina Parente (Coimbra, 1991) holds a Bachelor's and a Master’s degree in Design and Multimedia from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra, with the thesis Vida e Obra do Pintor Cruz Louro (2014). She works as a designer, collaborating with clients, projects, and companies across various fields. In addition to graphic and web design, she also develops illustration projects, team management, and creative consultancy. Since 2018, she has been teaching as an Invited Assistant Professor in the Design and Multimedia course at the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra, in the course units Drawing and Representation and Drawing and Composition. In 2020, she also taught Editorial Design in the Communication Design and Multimedia course at the Escola Superior de Educação de Coimbra. She is currently a PhD student at Colégio das Artes, University of Coimbra. Her research focuses on the study of the paradigm of the artist as an ethnographer and how drawing can function as a means of assimilating places, exploring these concepts through a theoretical-practical approach.
