Maria João Pinto

Maria João de Oliveira Sousa Pinto (1975) holds a degree in Architecture (Coimbra’s University, 2000), a Master’s degree in Teaching Visual Arts (Aveiro’s University, 2011) and is a PhD student at the Department of Architecture at UC. Between 2006 and 2010, also attended Civil Engineering at ISEC, having completed the 2^nd year. Has been collaborating with the UC’s Department of Architecture since 2016, lecturing on Geometry and Design I. Simultaneously,  has been developing architecture projects as an independent worker and giving training in the field of representation - both manual and digital - and has taught the subjects of Arts and Descriptive Geometry to 2^nd and 3^rd groups of secondary schools. The area of interest and research theme focuses on the relationship between project development methodologies and representation systems, with a particular emphasis on Descriptive Geometry and Computer-Aided Design.
