Biografia
Graduated in Architecture from the Department of Architecture of the University of Coimbra (DARQ/UC), in 1996. Master in Theory and History of Architecture from the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Barcelona (ETSAB/UPC), in 2010, with the thesis “O nome dos Pequenos Congressos – A primeira geração de encontros em Espanha, 1959/1967, e o Pequeno Congresso de Portugal”. Doctorate in Theory and History of Architecture from ETSAB/UPC, in 2016, with the thesis “Crítica e debate arquitetónico na 3ª Série da revista ‘Arquitectura’ – Portugal, 1957/74.” Has published articles in “Jornal Arquitectos”, “ECDJ”, “Revista Crítica de Ciências Sociais”, “Revista de História de Arte”; and was Guest Editor of “Joelho”. He is the Scientific Coordinator of the Archive of Architecture of the University of Coimbra (AAUC), created in 2018, to preserve and study especially Architectural Records of architects who worked in the 20th century and had a connection with the city of Coimbra. He is a Professor at DARQ/UC, where has been lecturing since 1997, with an area of expertise in Portuguese Architecture of the 20th Century.
