Biografia

Nuno Miguel Martins Travasso (Porto, 1980) is an architect and researcher integrated into the Morphologies and Dynamics of the Territory group at CEAU. His research focuses on studying the processes, dynamics and actors of contemporary urbanization, on ways of reading, representing and intervening in extensively occupied territories, on urban planning and management practices, and on public housing policies. In these areas, he has participated in several research projects in close connection with public and third sector entities, having co-coordinated the projects "Território: Casa Comum" (with Álvaro Domingues) and "Local Development Process: Riba d'Ave e Oliveira S. Mateus" (with Aitor Varea Oro). In his research activity, he has published several articles and book chapters of a scientific nature and presented communications at national and international congresses, as well as actively participating in the public debate around themes associated with spatial planning and public policies associated with it. He has also developed activity in the fields of urban planning and design, participating in various territorial management instruments, as a consultant, team member or coordinator. He was a guest professor at FAUP and EAAD-UM, associated with the areas of urban design, contemporary urbanization theory, and history and theory of urbanism.
