Biografia

Pedro Pousada (Lisbon, 1970) is a visual artist active since 1990 and an Assistant Professor at the University of Coimbra, where he teaches Drawing at the Department of Architecture (FCTUC) and the PhD program in Contemporary Art at Colégio das Artes, a unit of the university. Since 2012, he has been the Director of Colégio das Artes and Coordinator of the PhD program. As a researcher at CES, his scientific work has primarily focused on the relationship between artistic modernity and architectural culture in the 20th century, with publications in various academic journals. He was a board member of the Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra (CAPC) from 2012 to 2015 and continues to collaborate with the institution, contributing essays on Contemporary Art.
