Teresa Pais

Born in Algarve, Portugal (1969). Graduated in Architecture from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra (1995). Master in Drawing Practices and Theories from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Porto (2007). PhD in Architecture, with specialization in Plastic Expression and Architecture from the University of Coimbra (20016), with the thesis "Contour drawing in the learning process of observational drawing". Professor of Drawing and Geometry in the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra, since 1998. Coordinator of the Darq Foreign Disclosure Committee since 2018. Member of the jury for the Competition for Students Over 23 Years Old to the University of Coimbra and in the entrance examinations for the Integrated Master’s degree in Architecture, since 2016. Coordinator of activities at the University of Coimbra's Summer University running in the Architecture Department of FCTUC since 2016. Member of the Scientific Committee of several Conferences both at national and international levels. Scientific reviewer of several publications related to drawing. Member of the board of Aproged, Association of Geometry and Drawing Teachers (2021). Vice-President of the Gaspard Monge Training Centre (2021). Author and coordinator of several books and articles on the teaching of Drawing and Geometry in the training process of the architect.
