Sinopse
In Coimbra: A New Map, the ECDJ creates a project laboratory in the form of a workshop, based on a challenge proposed by Alexandre Alves Costa. The task was to draw a new map, inviting six architects—including Spaniards Manuel Solá-Morales and Manuel Gallego—and sixty architecture students or recent graduates. This was the magazine’s contribution to the broader debate launched by the Congress for the City, under the banner of participatory democracy. Opening the issue, Álvaro Siza—also a guest in the workshop—reflects on his relationship with Coimbra and his work in various cities.
