Sinopse
In the construction of this book, there was no desire, although it exists, for any nostalgic sentiment. We do not deny longing as a manifestation or testimony of our past, without feeling it as the constancy of absent love, as in Galician poetry, nor as in Pascoais, when he interprets it as the foundation of national rebirth, even though we inadvertently use both.
We believe that, without the constant presence of these and other "contradictions," we could not, or would not allow ourselves, to possess grains of passion, conviction, and commitment, with profound moral dilemmas where ethics does not act only as a formal a priori, densifying the structure of the work, but permeates it entirely, constituting a condition for the recognition of reality and the artistic figuration of its social exteriority.
Thus, the centrality of the real, as a contemporary place, today implies contamination, absence of unity, simultaneity of yes and no, overlapping of contradictory layers, permanent, extensive, and dispersed cultural acquisition, beyond the discipline.
Only this way will we resist, untainted, crossing the populated desert of the complex world in which we live, with perplexities, but without false or elementary moralism, or the greed of the design of the brand that sells the best, trying to imitate those that have already triumphed.
