April 2025 | Project II
Between April 3 and 9, 2025, a field trip was carried out as part of the Project II course, taught by Armando Rabaça, João Paulo Cardielos, Luís Sobral, and Rui Pinto, to Ticino, Como, and Milan. The program included works by key figures of the so-called Ticino school, such as Luigi Snozzi, Aurelio Galfetti, Livio Vacchini, and Alberto Camenzind; the work of Giuseppe Terragni and Cesare Cattaneo in Como; and a diverse range of buildings and urban interventions in Milan — from historical architecture, such as the Duomo and the church of Santa Maria Presso San Satiro, to 20th-century works by architects including Piero Portaluppi, BBPR, Aldo Rossi, Carlo Aymonino, and Angelo Mangiarotti. Contemporary architecture was also part of the program, featuring projects by Kazuyo Sejima, OMA, Norman Foster, Grafton Architects, and David Chipperfield.
