From 2 December to 6 January, the 1st floor of the S. Bento Building will host a small exhibition entitled “Christmas Postcards”, featuring a selection of life sciences–related postcards.
The display is based on the collection of Professor Abílio Fernandes, Director of the Botanic Institute from 1937 to 1974, largely composed of postcards from the 1960s and 1970s. The selection includes postcards sent by scientific and academic institutions, as well as by individual correspondents, with themes connected to anthropology, biology, biochemistry and zoology.
An opportunity to revisit the documentary heritage of the life sciences.
