Have you thought about pursuing a career in space exploration? Applications are now open for the 4th edition of the Erasmus Mundus Master's Degree in Planetary Geosciences (EMJM GeoPlaNet), starting in September 2026!

GeoPlaNet offers 15 Erasmus Mundus scholarships worth €1,400 per month, in addition to full payment of tuition fees at the participating universities. This is an international master's degree designed for students with a background in Physics, Geology, Mathematics, Engineering, Earth Sciences or related fields who want to acquire a solid background in Planetary Geosciences and participate in future space missions. Throughout the course, students will be exposed to various fundamental areas of a space mission: from design and planning to the analysis and interpretation of the scientific data collected.

The course involves:
University of Coimbra (Physics, Mathematics and Earth Sciences); University of Pescara (Italy); University of Nantes (France).

Students will also benefit from a network of around 20 international research institutes and laboratories, where they can develop their thesis work.
