Introduction to Astro-statistics, Machine Learning and data visualisation

From September 9th to 13th, the Department of Physics will host the “Introductory Astrostatistics, Visualization, and ML Tools” school, part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie MWGaiaDN doctoral network, in which the University of Coimbra is a key participant. This school is tailored for postgraduate students.

Leading experts, including professors and researchers, will delve into astrostatistics, Bayesian analysis, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, model interpretability, the future of AI, and big data analysis and visualization. The program emphasizes hands-on experience, providing participants with practical skills in using advanced tools for analyzing and visualizing complex datasets.
