Pâmela Borges, a former Biomedical Engineering student of the Department of Physics of the University of Coimbra, has been recognised as one of the 100 most influential Black personalities in the Lusophone world, according to the POWERLIST BANTUMEN 100 - 2025 Edition.
Over the course of her professional career, Pâmela Borges has been awarded several competitive grants aimed at strengthening medical practice and biomedical research in Cape Verde. She currently serves as Principal Investigator and Coordinator of the Molecular Biology Laboratory at the Agostinho Neto University Hospital, where she is leading Cape Verde’s first national cancer genomics programme.
