A Global Meeting to Transform Education with GeoGebra: Second Edition in Coimbra, 2025
Since its creation by Markus Hohenwarter, GeoGebra has become a widely recognized tool used by millions of users around the world who develop and share educational materials through digital platforms. Following the success of the first edition of this international congress, held in 2023 in the city of Córdoba (Spain), we are pleased to announce the second edition, which will take place in the historic city of Coimbra (Portugal) in 2025.
This event aims to promote the exchange of innovative experiences, pedagogical materials, and research related to the use of GeoGebra as an educational resource across different levels of teaching and international contexts. The congress will bring together teachers and researchers from around the world to share knowledge through lectures, presentations, and posters.
In this second edition, we aim to strengthen GeoGebra’s impact on education, encouraging a significant methodological shift that contributes to more dynamic, inclusive, and effective educational practices. We invite everyone interested in the teaching of mathematics, science, and STEAM fields to take part in this unique opportunity to exchange ideas, explore new perspectives, and advance together in the use of GeoGebra as a transformative tool in educational contexts.
Venue: Department of Mathematics, University of Coimbra
Dates: October 23–25
