On December 19th, during the Mathematics Department plenary held in the Pedro Nunes room, the Merit Award was presented to students Leonor Gomes Morgado and Manuel José Serralheiro Abade, the João Farinha Award to students Luísa Figueiredo Capelo and Tiago Pereira da Silva de Vasconcelos Correia, and the Renato Pereira Coelho Award to student João Pimenta Areias.
The Merit Award recognizes students admitted to the Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics in the current academic year with the highest application grades. The João Farinha Award and the Renato Pereira Coelho Award are given, respectively, to the students of the Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and the Master's Degree in Mathematics who completed these courses in the previous academic year with the highest grade point averages.
