President and Vice-President of the CNECV received by the Dean of the UC/FL

Prof. Jónatas Machado, the Dean of the UC/FL, received in audience the President and Vice-President of the National Ethics Council for Life Sciences (CNECV), Professors Maria do Céu Patrão Neves and André Dias Pereira. The meeting took place on the day of the Public Presentation Session of the Report on the State of the Application of New Technologies: Neurotechnologies, which is being held today, 20 February 2025, from 14:30 to 17:00, in the Colégio da Trindade Auditorium.
During the meeting, in addition to the institutional greetings, the importance of the collaboration between the CNECV and the University of Coimbra in promoting ethical debate on the subject of neurotechnologies was emphasised.
At the public session, the report drawn up with the contribution of the CNECV Councillors will be presented, a document that is still being framed and which will benefit from input of the experts present, as well as dialogue with the participants, strengthening the link between science and society.
