New Viewer Ombudsperson for RTP

Clara Almeida Santos, a professor of the Department of Philosophy, Communication and Information at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra, has been elected Viewer Ombudsperson by the RTP Opinion Council.

A researcher in the field of Communication Sciences, she has worked in the areas of digital media, communication and networks, image and communication, media representations and storytelling. She served as Vice-Rector of the University of Coimbra from 2011 to 2018 and was responsible for Communication, Culture, Heritage and Alumni affairs. She also founded and directed UCV – the University of Coimbra's Web Television. A journalist by training and profession, she now takes on the role of mediator between the public television service and citizens.
