Reference Profiles for Level Selection

Portuguese Language I (ERASMUS) - A1 level

For students:

- with no Portuguese knowledge.

- who attended the A1 level intensive course irregularly.

Portuguese Language II (ERASMUS) - A2 level

For students:

- who obtained approval on the A1 level intensive course.

- who attended one semester of an A1 level Portuguese Language course (60 hours).

- who speak Spanish and have previous experience with the Portuguese language.

N.B. Spanish speakers who have no previous experience with the Portuguese language may prefer to opt for an A1 class, should they wish to have a strong grammatical base.

Portuguese Language III (ERASMUS) - B1 level

For students:

- who attended the A2 or B1 intensive course.

- who attended 2 semesters of Portuguese Language courses (120h).

Portuguese Language IV (ERASMUS) - B2 level

For students:

- who attended the B1 or B2 intensive course.

- who attended 3 semesters of Portuguese Language courses (180h).
