Blocking Respiratory Exacerbations: AI and data-driven Technology for Health Enhancement

BREATHE - Blocking Respiratory Exacerbations: AI and data-driven Technology for Health Enhancement

Abstract

The BREATHE project aims to validate the Evernoa system, a digital health solution that allows asthma patients to monitor their disease from home. Using the measurement of Exhaled Nitric Oxide Fraction (FeNO) as a biomarker, Evernoa will be able to act as a predictor of asthmatic exacerbations and suggest personalised interventions. The University of Coimbra and the Coimbra Local Health Unit are responsible for implementing the clinical study in Portugal, which aims to assess the prognostic value of FeNO levels as a risk indicator for asthmatic exacerbations, using the Evernoa device and integrated system.
