Assessment and Classification

The final grade is expressed in a 0-20 scale, calculated using the weighted average grades earned in each approved coursed unit. Course units’ assessment combines continuous evaluation (60%) and a final examination (40%).

The minimum passing grade for each course unit is 10 marks.

Application and Enrollment

There is no direct application to the Foundation Year Programme in Portuguese Language. Students should apply directly to the undergraduate degree programme of their choice and indicate in the application form that they do not have a B1 level of proficiency in Portuguese. They must also check the box “I would like to attend the Foundation Year Programme in Portuguese Language.”

If the student meets all other entry requirements and is admitted, they must complete the enrollment and registration process in their chosen undergraduate degree programme and pay the enrollment fee along with the first tuition installment. This ensures their place in the selected undergraduate degree.

Before the beginning of the academic year, UC’s Academic Services will also enroll the student in the Foundation Year Programme in Portuguese. Students who successfully complete this one-year programme may then proceed directly to the undergraduate degree for which they were admitted.

Tuition and Other Fees

Fees Amount
Application Fee 50 EUR
Enrolment Fee 20 EUR
Annual Tuition Fee 7 000 EUR

Application Fee
The application fee is charged for the admission and selection process of candidates through InforEstudante.

The enrolment fee includes school insurance and is paid annually, always at the beginning of each academic year.

At the beginning of each academic year, enrolment and registration are only confirmed after the single payment of the first installment (25% of annual tuition fee) and the enrolment fee.
