Assessment Coordinating Committee
According to Regulation No. 582/2017 (SIADAP.UC), the Assessment Coordinating Committee of the University of Coimbra (CCA.UC) is responsible for:
a) Establishing guidelines for the objective and harmonized application of SIADAP [Integrated System of Performance Management and Appraisal in Public Administration], taking into account all the documents that constitute the UC administrative process, under the principles established by the Law;
b) Establishing general guidelines for the setting of objectives, the selection of competences, and the measurement of indicators, particularly those related to the process of surpassing objectives;
c) Determining the number of objectives and competencies to be considered in the performance appraisal process at the UC;
d) Establishing general guidelines on careers, the number of competences, and measurement indicators whenever competence-based assessment, under the terms established by law, is authorized by the head manager of the service/unit for a given two-year period;
e) Defining the criteria to be used in assessing each of the curricular weighting elements and setting the respective weighting rates;
f) Deciding on the possibility of carrying out the performance appraisal in cases where the appraisee has worked for the required period of time, although, due to their specific role, they may not always have direct interaction with the evaluator;
g) Analysing, harmonising and validating the performance appraisal proposals of employees who request a curricular weighting appraisal in accordance with the law and these regulations, ensuring an appropriate level of differentiation and distribution of performance across the various careers;
h) Analyzing and validating all proposals for 'Excellent´ Performance at the UC, previously harmonised by the respective autonomous units;
i) Providing an opinion on the Rector's requests to review proposed appraisals of middle managers;
j) Monitoring the progress of the evaluation process, and, if deviations occur, request the heads of the autonomous units to intervene for resolution.
k) Disclosing the overall result of the application of SIADAP, namely the number of qualitative mentions awarded for each professional career;
l) Exercising any other powers not prohibited by law and necessary for the correct and coherent application of SIADAP in the UC;
