Nuno Mendonça
Nuno Ricardo Furtado Dias Mendonça is 45 years old and is currently Coordinator of the Special Project UC Business at the University of Coimbra. In 2002, he graduated in Biology from the University of the Azores and in 2009 he received his PhD in Biology, specialty of Microbiology, from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the New University of Lisbon, and an MBA for Executives from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra in 2013. Between 2009 and 2015, he was a post-doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra. Between 2016 and 2019, he was science manager at the MAREFOZ Laboratory of the University of Coimbra, as well as executive director of the Sea & Industry Incubator of Figueira da Foz. Since 2019, as coordinator of UC Business, he is responsible for the national InovC+, UI-CAN, UI-Transfer, and international HIVE and Inespo Plus projects, which aim to transfer knowledge and technology and foster entrepreneurship. Since 2021, he is executive secretary of MetaRedX in Portugal, aimed at training and enhancing the entrepreneurship offices of national Higher Education Institutions.
