Paulo Peixoto
Associate Professor with Aggregation at the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra (FEUC), where he began teaching in 1994 and where he was awarded the FEUC Teaching Prize (2016) and the FEUC Science Prize (2017).
He is a researcher at the Centre for Social Studies (CES) - having coordinated a research line and the Observatory of Education and Training Policies.
With a PhD in Sociology from the University of Coimbra (UC), he has been part of the institution's Bodies since attending the degree - 1989-1994, and has held various positions at the UC: among others, Student Ombudsman (2019-2023); Deputy Director of FEUC (2011-2013); Coordinator of CES-Lisbon (2009-2011); Executive Director of CES (2008-2010).
He is President of the Portuguese Sociological Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Research and Action on Fraud and Plagiarism in Academia.
At Associação Académica de Coimbra (Students' Union), he is a member of the Skating Section and is closely involved in the promotion of women's roller hockey.
