The Herbarium of the University of Coimbra is under the administration of the Department of Life Sciences and is located in the west wing of the former Colégio de São Bento.

The Herbarium is run by the Curator, Fátima Sales (Prof. Associate, lecturer of the Department of Life Sciences), two Collections Managers (Filipe Covelo and Joaquim Santos) and one Herbarium Technician, Isabel Corino.

The Advisory Committee for the Herbarium (COACH, Comissão de Aconselhamento do Herbário) comprises four Lecturers of the Department of Life Sciences, Prof Dr Jorge Canhoto, Prof. Dr Teresa Gonçalves, Prof. Dr Carlos Palmeira, Prof. Dr António Veríssimo, and the Curator.
