Collections
COI has c. 800.000 specimens of all groups traditionally considered plants: flowering plants, gymnosperms, ferns, mosses, liverworts, and algae - as well as fungi and lichens. The herbarium is divided into collections, the result of the research priorities carried out over decades. The collections are organised according to different standardized systems of classification.
