Biology students support digitization of the Herbarium

Throughout the semester, three undergraduate Biology students volunteered at the University of Coimbra Herbarium as part of its ongoing digitization program. Their main task was photographing specimens; over 2000 were digitized and are now available via the online catalogue and the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF).
This collaboration strengthens the institution’s commitment to Open Science by making valuable data accessible to researchers and the general public.
