iiiUC Trainings: Research Support Tools | Artificial Intelligence in Research | NEW DATE | May 6th

The fourth session of the 2025 iiiUC Training - Research Support Tools is dedicated to Artificial Intelligence in Research. The training will be led by Penousal Machado, Associate Professor with Aggregation at the Department of Informatics Engineering of the University of Coimbra, researcher at the Centre for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra (CISUC) and coordinator of the Master in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Coimbra.

During this session, opportunities and challenges in the use of artificial intelligence tools in the context of scientific research will be presented, including generative artificial intelligence.

The session aims to:

• Familiarise participants with the principles and practices of using generative AI tools in research;
• Reflect on the ethical and methodological implications associated with these technologies;
• Provide guidelines for the creation of a ‘kit’ to support the essential skills of new generation researchers: reading, researching, capturing, organising, writing and scientific socialising.

This training will take place on April 29^th May 6^th, 2025 at 2:30 pm.

This iiiUC event is online, in Portuguese and open to the entire University of Coimbra community.
