About

The Doctoral Schools of the University of Coimbra were established in 2021 and have the following main objectives:

  • Promote the sharing of resources and modules between doctoral programs;
  • Promote, share, and strengthen training in skills development for doctoral students;
  • Promote the sharing and implementation of good practices among faculty/supervisors in the scientific supervision of students;
  • Foster ways to follow-up PhD students in their post-doctoral career development;
  • Promote reflection on emerging or relevant topics to be addressed within the scope of existing doctoral programs.

Good Practices in IIIUC Doctoral Programmes

The document available below presents an overview of the good practices implemented in the Doctoral Programmes hosted by the IIIUC, based on a consultation process carried out by the Pedagogical Council. It includes information on the management and use of funds allocated to each programme, as well as on the institutional framework and the role of the Doctoral Schools.
