Participatory methodologies for co-creating fire resilient landscapes
This modules aims to enable students in methodologies and co-creation of solutions with local actors, within the framework of local strategies to promote landscapes resilient to forest fires. The module will cover concepts such as socio-ecological resilience, collaborative governance and the integration of different types of knowledge (scientific, technical and local) in the planning and management of territories vulnerable to fires. Syllabus
The syllabus is structured to provide a theoretical and practical basis on the subject.
The topics covered include:
- Participatory tools and methodologies: techniques such as collaborative maps, interactive workshops and multi-criteria analysis to involve local communities and stakeholders;
- Collaborative territorial planning: strategies for integrating different perspectives in the co-creation of fire-resilient landscapes;
- Practical case studies: analysing real experiences of co-creating resilient landscapes, promoting the direct application of the knowledge acquired.
