Application open to SoapBox Science 2024

SoapBox Science Coimbra is coming!

Soapbox Science is a global science communication initiative that promotes women and their science, transporting the knowledge they produce to public places, promoting scientific learning and debate, as well as the diversity and quality of science. Women scientists are invited to climb into a box and, without a microphone, present their research in a simple and understandable way, spreading their knowledge to the public through the streets of Coimbra.

The third edition of Soapbox Science Coimbra takes place on November 22nd in the streets of downtown Coimbra, in celebration of Scientific Culture National Day (October 24th 2024). This initiative is supported by the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research.

There will be space for UC researchers from different scientific areas and in different career stages to share their Science with the public, developing communication skills and socializing with other researchers.
