Duties

Third parties involved in the inquiry process (services and/or people) are subject to a CONFIDENTIALITY and secrecy commitment regarding all the information to which they have had access during this period.

Students can choose between open use of their data and confidentiality. In the first case, personal data will be used if necessary, and in the second case it will only be known within the Ombudsman's office.

When establishing facts it can be beneficial to use the identity of the claimant. If this is the case and if the claimant has opted for confidentiality, it is possible that, in order to protect this confidentiality, the file will have to be archived.

If the identification of the student is considered indispensable for the enquiries, he/she will be informed of this and will have the possibility to decide if he/she wants to continue with the participation submitted or not.
