Coimbra hosts workshop on Fundamentals of Data Curation in October

Training is aimed at research support professionals

The National Network for Research Data Management – Re.Data, co-coordinated by UC, is organising a series of free workshops with certificates of participation, as part of the professional specialisation programme for curators, data administrators and repository managers. With three editions, the series will host the second edition of the series in Coimbra on 3 October, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The workshop is designed for professionals who support research activities, including Data Curators, Data Administrators, Information Professionals, Data Stewards, Librarians, and Researchers, who wish to develop their data curation skills. Participants are required to commit to a minimum number of training hours and to be available to carry out pre-workshop activities during the previous week.

At the end of the training, participants will have acquired skills to prepare data for deposit and publication; support data documentation throughout the data lifecycle; curate metadata in repositories; prepare and document data to make it FAIR.
