Online session presents Pathfinder platform for editorial services discovery
Platform helps publishers, editorial managers and authors find the publishing services they need
Pathfinder, the OPERAS discovery platform for editorial services, aims to transform the way publishers, editorial managers and authors find the editorial and publishing services that best meet their needs. The platform, which aims to increase the efficiency and impact of academic work in the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH), offers a comprehensive catalogue of services, along with an interactive assistant that directs users to the most suitable options.
This Friday, 27 June 2025, at 11h (Lisbon Time | 12h CEST), OPERAS will hold a virtual demonstration session via Zoom, where Lorenzo Armando and Maddalena Briganti (Lexis) will present the current version of Pathfinder, demonstrate practical research scenarios and answer questions from participants.
The initiative is aimed at publishers, authors, editorial managers, and service providers who want to make their publishing processes more visible and easier.
Pathfinder is designed to support the academic publishing ecosystem by offering:
- a detailed list of the editorial and publishing services of the OPERAS network;
- a series of filters to help identify the services most relevant to specific editorial needs;
- an easy-to-navigate platform that helps both new users and experienced researchers find the services they need efficiently;
- continuous improvement based on user feedback to enhance functionality and user experience.
With an intuitive design and an update approach informed by community feedback, Pathfinder continually evolves to provide an efficient experience.
The live session on 27 June will be an opportunity to explore the platform's features, including:
- Practical demonstrations: Real-life examples of how to use Pathfinder to locate services.
- Interactive session: Answers to participants' questions about how Pathfinder can optimise daily editorial work.
The event is free of charge, and those interested can register via this link.
