TREASURE project concludes pilot phase this Wednesday
Meeting discusses key topics in the transformation of scientific research
Tomorrow, 3 December, the University of Coimbra will host the final event of the institutional pilot TREASURE – From Pilot to Practice, a project funded by CoARA Boost that marks the end of 12 months of intensive work and the launch of a new post-funding phase.
The meeting, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. at the UC Student Hub (Polo I), will bring together experts from UC and other national and international institutions to discuss key topics in the transformation of scientific research: research evaluation, challenges in implementing change, epistemic diversity and responsible guidance.
In addition to marking the conclusion of the pilot, the event marks the launch of the TREASURE training and certification programme, which takes the form of two optional and cross-cutting curricular units made available by the UC rectorate. This initiative represents an important step in the institutionalisation of reproducible, reusable and open research practices.
TREASURE was created with the aim of promoting systemic change in research practices, in line with the principles of open and responsible science. The project has benefited from essential contributions from the UC academic community.
