 
Paulo Faria has been translating literature for many years, winning the Literary Translation Prize from the Portuguese Translators Association and the Portuguese Society of Authors in 2015 for his translation of A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. He published his first novel, Estranha guerra de uso comum, in 2016. With his second novel, Gente acenando para alguém que foge, he won the 2021 Authors' Award from the Portuguese Society of Authors for Best Narrative Fiction.
